About Dr. Benson Fox, PsyD

You may be the person everyone relies on and still feel anxious, disconnected, or unsure what to do next. I want therapy to be a place where you can speak plainly, feel understood, and work toward changes that matter in your daily life.

What working with me is like

I listen carefully, ask direct questions, and bring warmth and humor to the conversation. We look at the feelings underneath an argument, the fear behind a habit, and the ways earlier experiences shape how you respond today. Understanding a pattern is useful when it helps you make a different choice.

My practice offers individual, couples, and family therapy. Areas of work include anxiety, depression, painful experiences, relationship conflict, and men’s concerns. We can discuss communication, boundaries, coping, and the parts of yourself that feel difficult to accept.

Training and professional identity

I am a New York State Licensed Psychologist, license 027739. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University in 2024 and my BA in Psychology at Touro University in 2019. My supervised clinical experience included schools, college counseling, group practices, and crisis support.

My background also includes coaching. On this site, appointments for psychological concerns are psychotherapy with a Licensed Psychologist. Coaching is a separate service and does not replace mental health assessment or treatment.

Your values belong in therapy

For frum and Orthodox Jewish clients, religious commitments are part of life, relationships, and decisions. I make room for Torah observance, emunah, tznius, and the guidance of a rav or posek without assuming that every client has the same needs. People of every faith and background are welcome.
