Anxiety therapy in the Five Towns
Your mind keeps rehearsing what could go wrong. You reread a message, put off a decision, or lie awake replaying a conversation. Anxiety can take up a great deal of energy even when you are managing work, family, and responsibilities.
Dr. Benson Fox, PsyD, offers individual therapy in Cedarhurst for people in Lawrence, Woodmere, Hewlett, Inwood, and nearby Long Island communities. Telehealth is available throughout New York.
When worry starts running your day
Therapy may be useful when worry is difficult to set aside, you avoid situations you care about, or tension disrupts sleep, concentration, and relationships. You do not need to know whether your experience meets a diagnostic label before asking for help.
What we work on
We look at what triggers worry, what you fear it means, and how you respond. The work connects emotional understanding with everyday choices: tolerating uncertainty, speaking up, setting boundaries, and recognizing when avoidance is making life smaller.
A psychodynamic approach pays attention to the history and relationships behind your reactions. We also discuss practical ways to respond in the present and review whether the work is helping with your specific goals.
Care that understands your world
For frum and Orthodox Jewish clients, concerns about family expectations, religious commitments, and community life can be part of the conversation. People of every faith and background are welcome.
